My StudioVerb 2 in Cakewalk Music Creator 5 is faulty...?

I'm a recording artist, using Cakewalk's "Music Creator 5" software for all of my recordings. Music Creator comes with multiple audio effects plugins, including StudioVerb 2. My StudioVerb 2 stopped functioning properly today, and only functions when I assign it to a whole track, but does not work when I apply it to a single clip in a track. When applied to a single clip, it cuts out 90% of the audio, skips, and makes a weird pinging noise. I've uninstalled and reinstalled Music Creator multiple times, and I'm completely unsure of what to do. HELP PLEASE! I'll choose best answer:)
