Does a teacher have the right to make a student empty his pockets?
I was walking in the hallway(ON THE LAST DAY OF SCHOOL) and a teacher saw my phone in my pocket and asked what it was and to empty my pockets. I told her it was just my wallet. She then started yelling and got a bunch of other teachers to come and yell at me in the hallway in front of everyone. I still refused to empty my pockets. The principal then came and told me to give it to him. I told him no and then he brought me to his office and and threaten to call the cops and have me arrested and threatened to not let me come to that school next year. So eventually I gave them my phone. Im suspended for today, and the makeup test day tomorrow and the first day of school next year. I live in livingston Parish. Im just wondering if everything they did was acceptable.
